Comfy, Safe, Organic, Priceless
So, we’re on grandchild #6, and to say that we’ve been through most variations of baby carriers over the past 13 years isn’t an exaggeration…Plus, I used one when my daughter was a munchkin 38 years ago, a lot has changed!I know I prefer a more structured carrier: this goes here, that goes there, snap, buckle, done! But as the soft, unstructured ones have come to stay, this one is right on point. Yes, there is a lot of extra material, but it has the perfect give, is made of organic cotton, and adapts to the way you want to use it easily.Grandma here is “rail” compared to Mom, who is pleasantly plump when she carries and stays that way for the first several months before returning to size as the baby grows. This baby wrap alleviates the issue we had with the last one, which had two pieces, one that criss-crossed over the back and couldn’t be adjusted. It was too big for me, and the baby would end up sliding down to my tummy if I didn’t hold her in place. Dad also likes to carry the baby around, and by carry, I mean pass out slumped down on the couch. The Snuggle Me Sling Carrier keeps the baby in place, worry-free for those of us who aren’t snoozing! ha haBottom line about breathable fabric wraps, unless it’s really cold where you live or you keep your house frigid, carrying around a mini-heating pad on your chest while swathed in material is bound to get warm to some extent. I don’t know of a carrier that won’t get “warm.” The baby, however, won’t have as many layers around it unless you wrap it that way, so the amount of heat you keep captured can be adjusted for the baby.If you’re on the fence because of the price, I’d recommend giving Snuggle Me a try. I mean, after all, aren’t you basically strapping the most priceless cargo to your chest? You want to invest in a product that is safe and keeps you comfortable. There is an abundance of resources available to teach you how to use this wrap; it’s only the first few times that may seem intimidating if you’re the type who is easily intimidated…so don’t let that dissuade you. Once you go over the instructions or watch the video, it couldn’t be much easier to use. The best part is how well it snuggles the baby to you!

& Thatâs a Wrap!
I didnât use wraps with my firstborn because, honestly, they intimidated me. I worried – would I know how to wrap securely so the baby stayed safe? What if he fell out, or I wrapped too tightly and affected his breathing? What if he got too hot or too cold? With all those fears, I never ended up buying one.Instead, I used a traditional Ergobaby carrier. It felt bulky and hot for both of us, but it was still better than carrying him in my arms when a stroller wasnât practical. Since he tends to overheat, I didnât babywear much and I often worried we werenât bonding enough. (His affection eventually came later and now I get all of the snuggles, so it worked out regardless!)Recently, I had the chance to try on a Tula stretchy wrap and absolutely fell in love with the idea of wrapping for my next baby. Iâm also a big fan of the Snuggle Me brand – I love their infant and toddler loungers (even though I donât have one yet), so I was really excited to try their wrap.Compared to the only other wrap Iâve tried, the Snuggle Me wrap is longer by at least 6 inches (rough estimate), wider by about 4 inches (again, estimate) and made of slightly thicker, heavier material. Of course, wraps come down to personal preference, but this one feels high-quality and thoughtfully made. Whether itâs the right fit depends on you and your babyâs needs, but I definitely recommend giving it a try.A quick note on safety: always dress your baby appropriately when using a wrap or carrier. The fabric acts as at least one extra layer of clothing, so check the weather and plan accordingly. One small thing to note – the Snuggle Me wrap doesnât fold into a built-in pouch and doesnât come with a separate pouch either. Itâs not a big deal, but if youâre like me and love to stay organized, youâll probably want to keep it in a bag to keep it clean and tidy.

Super soft, instructions in pictures and videos
We got this for when our grandchild is at our house, and while we had a carrier when our kids were small, we haven’t done this kind of baby wearing before. I was glad to see that the fabric was very soft, for baby and for the person wearing, and that it was a big piece of fabric – I feel like I’d rather have more than less for this function, especially since my husband and I can both use it even though we are different sizes. For as big as it is, though, it isn’t too heavy – it feels sturdy, but is stretchable enough for putting baby in and adjusting so they are comfortable. I really appreciated that they have a booklet with pictures and written directions, but also a QR code to watch a video online – I was nervous about doing this the right way, and having so many ways of looking at it is very helpful. I also like that they have sketches of the wrong ways to use it, as safety is important and I’m just a beginner – I want to learn to use it the right way! While this is an investment, when I compare it to what I paid for the carrier I had for my kids when they were small it’s really in the same ballpark when you take inflation into consideration, but this is much more useful – the carrier we had couldn’t be used until the kids were larger (you can use this starting at 7 lb. size according to the website) and they outgrew it very rapidly. This seems to be a better option, particularly around the house. I can also see it being very useful for nursing.
