This has been helpful with my daughter learning about sentences and sentence structure and also spelling. I kind of wish there were more words that were relevant to her level though. Some of the words that are included are kind of random. I like the fact that the most used words are wooden so they hold up better. The rest of the words are made up of a strong cardboard so they will continue to hold up with many uses. It comes with two storage bags and you can keep the box to store them in. It makes it easy to contain for travel and use on the go well. I would say the price point is good for what you are getting and recommend this for kids in kindergarten to second grade.

Sentence building learning set for kidsâteach them parts of the sentence!
This sentence building learning set for kids comes with several tiles for downs, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions and more. They are distinguishable by their color and come very well packaged in the set. The prepositions are in wood letters, and the rest are colored cardboard tiles. But the cardboard is very sturdy and they have rounded edges so it really makes it fun for kids to play around with. When we got this set, I tried to play it as intended, by making sentences from the tiles that you pull out of the little pouch. But to be honest for my first grade 7 year-old son, the best thing for him to get out of this set is just being able to build a proper sentence. So I supplied him with any tiles that he needed. I placed them out, and asked him to build a sentence using nouns, prepositions, adjectives, etc. I love how the tiles are colored because just by looking at the sentence, you can tell how enriched it is. After a few tries my son really understood what made a good and complete sentence. Iâm so surprised with this set. My son went from using three or four word sentences, to writing out seven or eight word sentences. Itâs a miracle!!! I know itâs functionality was intended as a game, but if your kid is not ready for it, trust me itâs good just on its own to help you find the tools that you need to supply your kid with knowledge on how to build a proper sentence. I highly recommend this sentence building setâ great quality And very well thought out learning tool!

I got this game to make reading more fun for my 6 year old. It really is fun to play and make up silly sentences. The quality is pretty good. Some pieces are wood and the rest (adjectives, verbs, pronouns, etc) are in colorful cardboard material. The design is clean and straightforward. I definitely believe this product is worth every penny. Itâs fun to play and engages younger kids to get into reading and writing.

Harder than you think
I ordered this Skillmatics Sentence Search educational game for my son. This game is much harder than I thought it would be. I don’t think a 5 year old is going to be playing this game as you need to have not only reading skills but a decent sense for sentence structure. This game includes 2 different set of tiles: 1 wooden set and 1 cardboard set that are color-coded by part of speech (e.g. noun, adjective, verbs, etc). Also included are 2 cloth bags and an instruction manual. The idea is simple: pull 10 colored tiles and use any combination of wooden tiles to make a complete sentence. Execution of this objective is way harder than I thought it would be. The wooden tiles are smooth and solid, however, some of the text seem like they are already rubbing off. Overall, this will be a fun supplement to our curriculum, however, it will need to wait until he has a better understanding of sentence structure.

Versatile, educational, and fun for teaching and learning.
I was really impressed by this game set. It’s simple yet complex, it has several parts and gives a pretty open interpretation so you can adjust the game to suit the learner. I like that the chips are a good size, not too big but still readable. It comes with little bags to keep things organized and has a really good variety of words. This is really good for a step 2 learning game for spelling and sentence structuring. I mix it in with word building and identifying games in our learning routine.
