Awesome game! Math island is a little harder of a game than Sum Swamp (which is very fun and easier math). A perfect step up game to keep math fun and kidos learning!!

My five-year-old granddaughter and I played this 3 times straight tonight after opening it up. Her 3.5 year old brother joined us for awhile, too, and he was able to play, too (though heâs pretty sharp with math for his age). She didnât understand âodd and evenâ numbers before we played, but after just one quick explanation, she got it. I highly recommend this game. Her mental math skills really improved quickly even playing just 3 times!

I played this with my first graders. They loved it. It does take a little time, we did not get to finish. It is easy to modify and shorten. The rules are clear and are easy to follow. The board is very colorful. I love the way you can do both addition and subtraction.

Fun Game for Learning Quick Addition/Subtraction
I am sooo impressed with this game! One child doesn’t like board games and enjoyed this one. It makes addition and subtraction not feel like math. Teaches odds and evens. Has some fun surprises, like a volcano that you use to send a die in the air. It is quick, because kids can roll 10 + 9 to move quickly across the board. Lose turns are infrequent and players are only allowed one volcano move back a game. My kids are kids who typically need extra help and this game worked for practicing math at home.

A fun way to teach math! My kindergartener has trouble focusing, but he loves this game and itâs been a fun way to teach him math. When itâs fun and interesting to him, he doesnât struggle as much with paying attention. I donât think mine came with instructions though. Do you access that from a website? It was pretty straight forward, but I was expecting a pamphlet.
