A little smaller than I thought but you could still make out the design if you held it up close. Very beautiful and makes a great gift. My mother loved it. But make sure you know what size their neck is. I thought 16 inches with a 2 inch extension would be okay and it wouldn’t even go around her neck all the way.

I think it’s prettier in the picture than in person. Chain is uncomfortably small. I always have a hard time unhooking it with the small latch and hooking the latch as well.

I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of this necklace. It’s the sort of necklace that a child will get their mother for Mother’s Day and for that reason the mother would love it. Although at the price it was advertised, I’m not sure many children would afford this. To see that it is a mother and child is quite difficult. It’s quite a fussy and complicated pendant and looked a little bit better in the picture than it did in real life. It’s quite nice but is for an acquired taste. The construction of the pendant itself is good. The chain itself is good. The clasp works well and it does hang nicely, but it’s definitely not gold and for the asking price it’s a little more than I would expect it to have cost. Overall a reasonable necklace but not a great one.

So this necklace is 14ct gold plate on sterling silver and @ £99 at time of review I think it’s a little over priced.Comes in a beautiful presentation box with a little suede pouch and a certificate .
