Harder to do than expected
I bought this for a stepping stone project my son had at school. They are making a garden with them, but it was harder to use than I expected. The instructions say a child should be able to mix the plaster as you add the mix and water. Not true and even I had a difficult time. It was hard to judge how much water to mix with the powder and you have to do a little at a time for each. It was very messy and kept getting spilled over the sides of the mold as we mixed it. The mixture even started smoking! It took us too long to get the entire mix added so it began to harden. My son, who is 8, wanted to do his handprint and there was just enough space. We ended up with air bubbles and did our best to smooth them out some. It took a few days to dry and then my son painted it. At the very bottom of the instructions it mentioned the product being for indoor use, so I ended up using a spray to seal it since itâs being used outside. The kit did the job and my son was happy with how it turned out, but I hope it holds up in the schoolâs garden. I guess time will tell!

Super cute! Gifted to my daughter in their Easter basket. It was a fun little project. Not sure if you can actually use as a stepping stone as the pant washes away with water but they didnât want to put them in the garden so Iâm unsure!

Fun diy paint activity
Fun diy stepping stone paint activity. The paint was nice and vibrant. I like the size of the ceramic itself. My 6 year old enjoyed painting his turtle. The ceramic peice was packed well, arrived in tact. Looking forward to purchasing other animal and insect varieties soon.
