This saved us during an 11-hour road trip for Thanksgiving! My 5-year-old daughter used it with her coloring books, to eat snacks, and to watch her Kindle Fire. I was worried that the drawing surface would be flimsy, but it isn’t. She had no complaints (and she’s 5, so she’s usually full of complaints). It was easy to adjust to the right height, it was sturdy, and it stayed put for the whole trip.One tip: If you’re going to be using this zipped up with a Kindle or iPad slipped into the clear outside cover, make sure you poke a hole somewhere in the side of the PVC so you can slip the headphone cable through. It says to do this in the product description, but I didn’t notice until it was too late and we were already on the highway. My daughter tried watching a movie with the headphones sticking out of the top, but the cable was annoying her this way, so we ended up just unzipping, putting the lap desk back down, and standing her Kindle up on that. This worked fine until we stopped and I was able to poke a hole.The only negative I can think of (which doesn’t warrant losing any stars because it’s just my personal preference) is the colors. I prefer car accessories to be black or grey so they match the interior of the car and don’t look so “kid-like.” There are tons of backseat organizers in dark, neutral colors, but none of them had the exact design/features as this product. If I could’ve found a similar product in all black, I would’ve bought that instead.All-in-all, this product made our drive so much easier and I’m very happy I bought it. It is now on my list of road trip essentials!

Great product
We bought this for my 4 yr old to use in the backseat because I got tired of finding crayons all over my car and having to find something for her to color on. So I found this on amazon and thought perfect. Well it is absolutely perfect. When my daughter isn’t coloring then the pouch in the front for her iPad work great! She loves it. I love the fact that she doesn’t have to take the iPad out of the pouch to change movies. The touch screen still works on the iPad through the pouch. It is a great product and I’m thinking about getting one for my youngest (18 months old so still rear facing) to use at least for the iPad holder while we drive to family vaca this summer because I know that she will eventually use the table and storage on the inside.This is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have all their kids stuff within their kids reach when they are in the car. There is plenty of storage on the inside for multiple coloring books as well as several pouches for crayons, colored pencils, or if you are super brace markers.

Nice tray but check measurements
In theory itâs a nice car tray for a kid to put their Kindle, crafts, travel snacks, etc. But my 5 yr old granddaughter was on her booster seat behind my front passenger seat and I had to move my seat all the way back for the tray to reach her. It hangs on the front headrest. My car is Honda CRV so in other cars it could be different. Iâll use it again because itâs helpful. There is something about the zipper that makes it take longer to work. Recommend having a kid sit in their booster seat/car seat then measure distance to their lap.

Ok but needs some improvements
So this review is based on 9 months of constant use by my 8 year old daughter. I bought two of these–one for each of my kids–for a long road trip. My older child used his for the trip but hasn’t used it much since. My daughter keeps her permanently installed and uses it every time we are in the car.I would rate this product three stars except for the fact that it is the only thing I found like it so there aren’t really a lot of other options. It does have some pretty major flaws though.First of all, it is not wipable and the fabric is not water proof so any spill soaks through to whatever board it is lined with–probably a heavy cardboard. It is the nature of kids to spill anything that is remotely spillable so her tray is predictably gross and stained and there’s not a thing I can do about it. See photo. That’s just a basic ice cream spill (and probably a drink or two. Who knows. LOL).The other most annoying design issue is that it’s pretty hard to zip closed because the zipper pull is short and gets stuck way back in a crease. So it’s not an easy thing to close it away when you want to get out of the car. We have basically given up on closing it so it’s just always in the way.But on the plus side, she does use it a lot and it helps her do the many things she wants to do while we are driving. With as much time as we spend in the car, this is helpful. Not sure how much longer it will hold up. For the price I’m hoping for at least a year of use.

Worked Out Well for Us!
We bought this product for our 2 year old for a 19 hour car drive from Texas to California. It has worked out quite well for us. The only issue I have is that its harder for her because she is in a convertible car seat with front cup holders and the back of the car seat isn’t high enough to keep it at lap level for her. It kind of lifts up at an angle. I mean it did its job as far as being a hard surface that she can put her color books and her crayons wont roll away. And we were also able to set the ipad up on it so she can watch movies. I would still recommend this product I just figured I would mention how it worked for our child who is a bit younger but she will grow into it and it may work better in our other car that’s a larger SUV. It’s a great price, came a day earlier then expected. Customer Service was great, even got a free road trip game!The Colors are quite cute and I even vinyled her name on the front of it 🙂
