Great on the go “food tray” option
Game changer for our kids on long road trips! Bought these to use for both my kids on the way to Disney world and they held all their little toys, trash, cups, and drive thru orders perfectly! Their tablets couldn’t fit in the clear tablet holder because they have otter box type cases on them but I could have taken them out and it would work fine. Didn’t hurt the overall functionality of this product bc we mainly love it for the “food tray” option. Would buy again!

Would be 5 stars if the pockets that are supposed to hold electronic devices were able to hold iPads in cases; see photos. Also, the 4 stars is presuming its durability holds; will update if not. There are two pockets intended to enable someone to watch videos on a small device such as an iPad. One is visible when the drop-down tray is in use, and there’s another one so you can watch videos if the tray table is folded up. There are more storage pockets below the tray. The outside pocket for watching a device–i.e., the pocket you’re looking at when the tray is folded up/closed–can hold an iPad in a case, although the pocket’s border cuts across part of the screen. The first two photos of iPads show a really chunky case and then a slimmer one. The slim case fits better although still not completely. The next shows an iPad without any case, which fits well. The last shows an iPad in the inside pocket–i.e., the pocket you’re looking at when the tray is folded down/open. It fits without any case, *very tightly. Smaller devices like iPad minis, phones, or similar probably would fit either pocket fine. Our cases, however, aren’t designed to pop on and off quickly or easily, and our default is that they remain on. Also, the clear plastic you look through to see your device is flexible–like a clear raincoat– and tends to create glare (not typically as bad as my photos suggest). Otherwise, the organizer is made well, with sturdy, scrubbable thick nylon and strong webbing straps. The fold-down tray is its weakest point–somewhat bendy, as if made of either flexible plastic or cardboard under the nylon covering. The tray’s angle can be changed by adjusting the webbing strap that fastens it to the main body of the organizer although I’d imagine most people would want their tray to just be flat. It has a small lip all around that works to keep small objects on, like crayons, during smooth driving conditions, although the tray itself bounces around (not surprisingly) during rough roads. Admittedly, nothing is going to keep things steady under some driving conditions. Of course, it might bounce less if the tray and the arm that fastens it to the organizer were made of rigid materials. The whole thing is very light, which I guess is nice but not really a necessity, and it has no hard surfaces or edges, although I’d think you have bigger problems if your kid is smacking themselves against the car organizer when they’re supposed to be belted in. Given the tray’s slight give, it doesn’t hold a lot of weight; I wouldn’t put a full-sized/heavy thermos on it. But it’s fine for juice boxes/small milk cartons/similar, as well as for food, Barbie dolls, drawing things, etc. The storage pockets are super helpful to help keep chaos at bay on long car drives. In our full-size van, it’s 20 inches from the kids’ seat backs to the front edge of the tray, plenty close for our 11- and 7-year-olds to reach their trays easily as well as to reach the top tier of storage pockets under the trays (the bottom tier of pockets is just a smidge too far for a strapped-in 7-year-old). Overall an asset, just not great if its primary use is for iPads in cases. This mom’s view is, either watch your iPad in the outer pocket, i.e., with the tray folded up and the line cutting across the screen, or don’t watch your iPad at all since you’re probably going to get carsick anyway.
