A LIFESAVER for the perfectionist Mama!
This electric filing set has saved me an UNBELIEVABLE amount of time trimming my little oneâs nails! He constantly loves grabbing his face and with fast growing claws might I add. Itâs nearly impossible to find him daily without a little scratch. Thankfully, this device allows me to get a VERY close trim right down to the nub (which is basically necessary for us) with little to no discomfort. However, I do recommend using during nap time, just to make your life easier if you have a squirmy wormy like mine. I almost believe when he is calm enough for me to work on them awake, it actually relaxes him. Maybe itâs the light buzzing or the subtle vibrations? Some tv and a pacifier is âchefs kissâ distracting him long enough to get the job done. When that doesnât work, my husband shakes a rattle and this works just as well (helpful hack). Itâs also great at buffing the little skin peels on his fingers. Thatâs how gentle it is!! Though gentle, it still manages to QUICKLY and EFFORTLESSLY grind down the nail nearly perfect every time. I love that it can be used on adults as well thanks to variety of head options. Itâs definitely a two for one deal which includes other essentials necessary for a great manicure. Itâs SO satisfying, relaxing and easy to use, even I feel like a licensed nail tech by the end. I highly recommend to ALL Mamas or Mamas-to-be! Pleasantly surprised!
I have the Frida brand electric nail file and much prefer this nail file instead for my 18 month old! The roughest grit on the Frida brand one isnât as rough as the roughest grit on this one. I file my sonâs nails while he sleeps so I need to be able to get it done fast and painlessly. This does the trick! It only takes me about 3-5 minutes to file all of his nails! The light on it is very helpful as well.

I purchased this for my baby because every time I would use a nail clipper I would cut to close to heâs nail and hurt him and decided to get this, itâs has been a game changer when trying to trims baby nails very easy, doesnât hurt baby, baby doesnât even notice Iâm doing something to his nails, size is just perfect while held in hands, low noise level, great battery life considering it uses 2 AA batteryâs, just love it.

Nail Stress!!
I really wish trimming little kids’ nails wasn’t such a traumatic chore. I used to be able to trim my little one’s nails while she napped with little clippers and it got me through the first 4 years. Now that she is 5, she sleeps too light to sneak in a manicure. I tried little clippers while holding her down awake and it was impossible. She was a wild screaming animal and there was no way I was going to try to clip down and accidentally miss her nail and make her greatest fear come true. I got this rotary file to try to make it a fun manicure. Unfortunately, it still required me firmly holding her down while trimming her nails but at least if I miss, it’s not going to hurt. This did the job in a painless way but not without trauma! My only grief is that if the nail isn’t centered on the disk, it just sort of spins around in a circle without filing. Hopefully she’ll just get used to it. Fingers crossed!

Great for my infant!
I loved using this on my infants nails. It helped me get his nails shorter without feeling stressed like I was going to hurt his fingers or skin. Definitely a product that was good until he got a little older and his nails got thicker. I would say I used it for probably the first nine months of his life. When his nails got too thick, I would have to use a more harsher file and I did not feel comfortable using it because I might scratch his skin. So I moved onto regular nail clippers after nine months. Iâm definitely happy I bought this product and I would buy it again for my next child.

My husband and I tried all the manual nail files and clippers with our newborn and they were all a fail, which led me to this product! So happy to have invested in am electric rotary nail file. Once your sweet baby arrives in the world with their sharp little claws you’ll be far too afraid to use nail clippers and risk hurting their precious skin. Take my word for it and order this product! We have had no issues and the baby doesn’t mind it one bit!

It works. My main complaint is with the safety stop feature. If the file touches your skin with any pressure, it stops filing. And when youâre wrangling a freakishly strong 8 month old, you kinda need the file to keep working and not worry about it stopping. If it would continuously stay running, it would be perfect. I also think adding replacement heads would be a good idea as well. We only use 2 of the heads it comes with and theyâre worn out and donât work as well anymore.Overall, itâs a good nail file if youâre patient and take your time with it. For the price- to me itâs worth it.
