Easy, fun, creative
This was such a fun craft for my family. From the 7 year old to grandma who is 70, everyone had fun, painting these birds, putting them together, and adding gems/ stickers. The finished products were so beautiful. Excellent value for the price.
Ode to Onion Rings –
Tying the chimes on is too hard for kids. . . and some adults
These are cute little bird cut outs but the whole experience of using the really stiff metallic thread to tie on the windchimes was a deal breaker for us. I got them for a bunch of 10 year olds as a craft and decided to pull the plug because I would have to get new thread to make the tying part work. The thread that it comes with is fine, stiff, and metallic so it’s like tying fishing wire. The birds are made of balsa wood so it bleeds when you use markers, so you really have to get out the acrylic paint. So, if you have lots of time and patience, go for it, but the kids won’t be able to complete these themselves.

Cute Fun Idea, but…
I bought this for Summer Camp, paid a little extra to have a “wind chime”. The problem is, NO Holes were drilled for attaching the chimes. The holes are clearly in the pictures provides, but not actually on the birds. I did not have time to return, so painted and hung as is.

Great project
My 7 year old and I spent a good 3 hours making these wind chimes it was a blast. The paint it comes with works very well and there is more than enough to complete all the wind chimes. It only comes with one paint brush and you will definitely need more than that so I’d recommend having some more on hand. Overall a great art project!
