These were just what I wanted! I bought 3 sets because my son has 12 teachers and it is staff appreciation week. We out treats inside them and the lids snapped on nicely. They do come with 1 set of utensils so I just kept those. I love the colors of these containers!

Almost Perfect…
I ordered these because the couple of Bento boxes we have for school lunch are on their last legs. I like these because they nest, so they don’t take up too much space in the cabinet. They are easy to open and close (my 3rd grader can do it). You do have to press all around it and in the center to really get it all the way closed. It came with a plastic set of silverware, which I appreciate, because losing spoons is my curse, and I hate to use disposable. So far we still have the spoon, fork and knife.They secure fairly tightly, but not completely. To elaborate, I tested putting water into one compartment, and shook it around with the lid on. A tiny bit of the water escaped into the next compartment and around the outer edge of the box. But, I don’t typically put thin liquid into my kid’s lunch, so it’s really a non-issue. Yogurt stays put, and fruit doesn’t release enough liquid to really “contaminate” her lunch, so I’m okay with it, but it’s one of the reason I’m rating this 4 stars, because I imagine one expects their bento box to have zero cross contamination. I would just say don’t use these for soup.The other reason I’m rating these only 4 stars is because the main compartment is not big enough to fit a full sandwich on regular sandwich bread. It fits 3 quarters of one, so if I want to send my kid with a full sandwich, I need to use one of the other compartments. Mostly I just eat the last quarter. :)TBH, I might have rated these 3 stars if not for the fact the cost of 4 of these is the same as one from Target. I can live with it’s flaws for the price.While I likely won’t ever use these for microwaving, they are dishwasher safe, which is a must for me. I appreciate that it’s a 4 pack, because they are also handy for storing vegetables after taco night.
